 Dear Candy Hearts Creator,

Thanks for creating for me! For this exchange, I'm requesting both art and fic. (I'm afraid I don't have a lot of ideas for art prompts, but I'd be happy with any art related to to my general or porn likes.) Also, for both fic and art, don't feel obligated to use my prompts if there's something else you feel really inspired to make. As long as it respects my DNWs and is in the vicinity of my likes, I will enjoy it. Some of my ship requests will be longer than others, but that's just a reflection of what I have the most ideas for. I also welcome fic or art that incorporates more than one of my requested ships at the same time.

Disco Elysium

I love this game and this universe. The humor, the weirdness, the broken-down world only a few decades from destruction, how hard everyone is trying to survive and make some sort of difference in the meantime. Worldbuilding is welcome for any of these ships. I always love to see more of Revachol and Elysium, the pale, characters having their own Skills or their own vaguely supranatural relationship with Revachol. Philosophy, politics, canon-typical darkness, and canon-typical silliness are always welcome.

Harry Du Bois/Kim Kitsuragi

I love Harry’s struggles, how much the game doesn’t pull its punches with his addiction and self-loathing. I also love what a delightful mix of dorky and cool Kim is, how messy he is under the facade of extreme professionalism, and how he unexpectedly bonds with Harry. They're both such lonely, mismatched souls who don't seem like they should vibe with each other, and yet here they are laughing at each other's jokes and thinking about how they'd die for each other and dancing in a church together. It's beautiful.

I would love to read about them at any stage in a potential relationship--getting together, the uncertain early stages of coupledom, established domesticity, facing the end of the world together.

Some specific story ideas I'd love to see:

BODY SWAP IN THE PALE. I just think it'd be really interesting and good for them to walk a mile in each other's bodies (and maybe get more comfortable with their own bodies by realizing they're still very much attracted to each other like this. Self-acceptance through bodyswapped fucking!)

MEMORY SWAP IN THE PALE. Uncomfortable intimacy, learning painful secrets, identities blurring...

HURT/COMFORT. Hurt either of them! Both of them! I'd just love some injury/sickness and vulnerability and comfort. Specific ideas: Harry struggling with a relapse or with noncon drugging? Kim getting dosed with something because reasons and needing to be nursed through the experience by Harry? Captured and whumped by someone with an old grudge? Dealing with lingering aftereffects of the Tribunal?

PAST AU. I have a serious soft spot for AUs that explore them having met before the events of the game. Anything from pre-game drunken bar hook-ups (leading to the mother of all “oh no…” moments for Kim in Martinaise) to hunting for lost treasure as young children in the catacombs of La Royaume.

DOMESTICITY. Moving in together! Making breakfast together! The mortifying ordeal of being known and mingling all your stuff!

PORN. I'm down for anything focused on Harry having sex with a man for the first time, any masculine hang-ups he might have about it or just how it piques his curiosity and willingness to explore. Also... It's canon that Kim is able to make Harry his thrall with an eyebrow quirk. So, if you're up for it... D/s? I would love any kind of kinky exploration for these two. If you’re interested in writing kink or anal sex, I have a strong preference for dom and top Kim, but otherwise I’m open to anything.

For art, I would also love anything of them cuddling in bed, or patching each other up, or any gentle moments of domesticity. Standing on the edge of the pale.

Harry Du Bois/Kim Kitsuragi & Revachol, Harry Du Bois/Kim Kisuragi/Revachol

More vignettes of them exploring Revachol and its various subcultures! Vignettes of their relationship with Revachol over the years. Revachol leaving them gifts, a la the polar anorak. (Including a wedding present, maybe?) Harry speaking to the city, the city speaking to Kim. Decoding messages the city leaves them. Harry traveling around Revachol with Kim, trying to remember things from his past life, the city sparking memories for him.

For the OT3 version, I'd be very happy with anything where the spirit of Revachol is present between them when they kiss, or gives them weird visions or extra sensations during sex, or any other direction you want to take this in!


Harry Du Bois/Kim Kitsuragi/The Skills

Just, I love the Skills a lot and think including them in a romance would be fun. All the Skills are in love with Kim, and have their own ideas about how to go about winning his affections. Kissing Kim is different every time, depending on what the skill check being passed (or failed?!) is. The skills trying to seduce Kim, but it's white check failures all the way down. Kim is into it anyway. In a sex scene, the skills all playing a role and trying to one-up each other, or each of them being undone by Kim.


 Harry Du Bois/Kim Kitsuragi & Garte

I was so fond of Garte by the end of the game, and I'd love some more bonding between these three than we got. Maybe Harry and Kim keep ending up investigating crimes at bars Garte manages, to his ongoing dismay? Getting invited to his and Sylvie's wedding?

Also, Kim and Garte don't really get a chance to bond the way Harry and Garte do, so I'd be interested in any moments where the two of them find an unexpected detante. Post-tribunal while Harry is unconscious is an obvious time for it, but I'd be interested in anything where they connect. They're both guys devoted to their jobs who try very hard to be taken seriously and don't always succeed, so, surprise bonding? The three of them playing a board game together or sharing some other nerdy interest.

Or, Garte outsider POV on Harry/Kim during canon, or through the years as they return to the Whirling for reasons.


Klaasje Amandou/Ruby, Klaasje Amandou & Ruby

Both these characters were were so fascinating to me. I love Klaasje's willingness to manipulate and how uncertain you're left about her backstory and motivations in the end. Her mixture of self-loathing and desire to self-annihilate through drugs and partying, which is a bleak sort of parallel to both Harry and Ruby's suicidal impulses. I love what a mix of tough, resourceful, and fragile Ruby is, and how open she is with her struggles with mental illness. I'm very curious as to how she got mixed up with Madre and what running drugs for a vicious cartel was like for someone like her.

The scenario I'd most love is post-canon fic where circumstances to force them to team up again. Going on the run for the world's most awkward Thelma and Louise roadtrip? Evading pursuers and working together or just hiding out in some roadside motels or the back of a lorrie inside an aerostatic together?

I'd love Ruby getting to express her hurt at Klaasje's betrayal of her, and Klaasje having conflicted feelings about it that she may or may not lie about. The two of them coming to some kind of reluctant understanding? I tend to take Ruby at her word that their relationship was casual, but the hurt of that betrayal seems like it would cut deep, and I'd love to see how, or if, they could ever come back from that, either as friends or lovers.

Anything exploring their relationship to Revachol. Revachol speaking to them or protecting them, dreaming of Le Retour together, facing down the pale (swapping memories in the pale would be fascinating for these two!) 

I'm intrigued by the idea of trans-feminine Klaasje if you care to go there. 

For art, hanging out in lorries or on aerostatics while on the run together, sharing a smoke, reluctantly patching each other up after an injury?


René Arnoux/The Deserter

My hateful old man 4 hateful old man ship. It'd be an absolute nightmare.

Something about the tragic parallels and the one-sided intimacy of this relationship just guts me. The Deserter's blue-screen-of-death reaction to Rene's death, his grief at losing someone he hates, someone who doesn't even know he exists, and that being the closest thing to a long term relationship and an emotional anchor this horrible, traumatized old man has ever experienced... it gives me a lot of feelings.

I'd be fascinated by anything that adds some twisted desire to The Deserter's devoted hatred for Rene.

Also, what would happen if it wasn't a purely one-sided relationship? How much more horrible would it be if they ever actually met? The weird satisfaction of finally being known by the man you've loved to hate for decades? Twisted understanding for each other that they clamp down on? Fucked-up hatesex? Or just Rene slowly becoming aware that there's a communist hiding on the islet and developing an obsession with hunting him down? I'm fascinated by how well they can probably understand each other better than anyone else in Martinaise, and yet how loathe they'd be to ever acknowledge it.

I'm also very interested in Rene/Gaston (and Rene/Gaston/Jeanne-Marie) seen through Dros's eyes. Dros experiencing jealousy that he can't recognize as such? Or the two of them and their complicated relationships with Revachol?  Give me anything with these two.
